Unlike regular mattress protectors, which can be hot and sticky in the summer, this one has a sleep surface with tiny, moisture-absorbing pockets of polyester and nylon which create a cooling effect. The base is wrinkle-free waterproof polyurethane, which also creates a barrier against allergy-inducing dust mites. The fully-fitted design keeps it securely in place on a Single, King Single, Double, Queen or King bed – and the pillow protector (sold individually) creates the same, cooling effect.

Nylon has the ability to retain 4% moisture resulting in a cooling effect. Additionally, the fabric is woven into repeating units of polymers linked by amide bonds. This polyamide cover creates small pockets to retain moisture thus adding to the cooling effect.
